Michael is a well-rounded down to Earth attorney who recognizes the everyday struggles individuals and small business run into. His advice and legal services are geared toward practical and effective solutions to those problems. He believes that there is no need to throw the book at a situation, (which costs money) unless the situation calls for the book to be thrown. Sometimes less can be more for small businesses. However, he is willing to do what is necessary to get his clients the best results.
Michael attended Shawnee State University, where he obtained his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a minor in Paralegal Studies. Though modest, Shawnee State offered unique opportunities for a prospective law student, such as sitting judges as professors and mentors. He graduated sum cum laude, and earned Deans list or Presidents list consistently throughout his educational career. He was able to work with experienced attorneys and business owners who passed along practical knowledge not contained in any textbook. Such knowledge has served him well in his own business endeavors and his legal career. While in Southern Ohio, and attending college, Michael owned and operated a small business and served as a entry level manager for a fortune 500 company.
After receiving his undergraduate degree, Michael moved to the Columbus area to attend Law school at Capital University Law School. At Capital, Michael earned the Trustee Merit scholarship and accomplished Deans list on multiple occasions. While there, he was educated by professors who wrote law in Ohio, and by professors who wrote the textbooks that law students across the nation currently use. The experience allowed for first hand knowledge of the law and insight that gives him an edge against attorneys from around the state.
He was also an active participant in Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, and the Black Law Student Association (BLSA). The BLSA offered insight into minority social issues as well as social issues that effect low-income households throughout our great nation. Many of which he witnessed first hand in his Southern Ohio upbringing.
He is currently an active member of the Ohio State Bar Association and the Columbus Bar Association.
